The idea behind the Victorian Blood Bowl Association was first floated in early 2022 by a group of Victorian Tournament Organisers (TOs). The plan was to form a community group whose mission was to support and grow the game of Blood Bowl in Victoria.

The VBBA was registered on 18 February 2022 with the following purposes —
(a) to promote the game of Blood Bowl in Victoria
(b) to promote and encourage community members to play Blood Bowl
(c) to promote Blood Bowl tournaments and leagues in Victoria
(d) to help tournament organisers and league commissioners to set up and run tournaments and leagues.

Furthermore, being a Not-for-Profit Incorporated Associated, the VBBA can access discounted rates on tournament venue with local councils and community groups.
